Le Clerc’s potential and ability as the young leader of European tours was soon noticed by Contiki’s management, and when the company initiated a new venture –Contiki Resorts – Natalie Le Clerc was selected to be involved in the project. The first resort was at Great Keppel Island in Australia and Le Clerc’s first position was activities/ entertainment supervisor, in which she was responsible, inter alia, for all internal and outsourced activity providers. In this position she provided support to the general manager in the daily operations of the resort, including direct supervision of various hotel departments. In July 2007, she was promoted to General Manager. Towards the end of 2008 it was decided to rebrand and refurbish the Bali Contiki Resort, upgrade it to 4 stars and incorporate it into the prestigious Red Carnation chain.
